Description
This painting started as a straightforward watercolor and ink painting of two grackles walking across a parking lot. I worked on it through a lot of frustration over two years, as slowly, the painting told me what it needed. I gradually added a bit of acrylic paint here and there to accentuate the bits of light coming through unseen trees
