Description
Every spring I anxiously wait for the Dutch Irises in my front yard to put on their annual show. I photographed the models for this painting one spring several years ago. I didn't notice the little "visitor" until I put the reference image on my computer screen. One of my favorite things about gardens is the endless little mini ecosystem that they support.
