Description
The hummingbird represents joy and hope. These little winged wonders flutter their wings they do not flap their wings, they rotate them in a figure 8, which makes it even more remarkable. That also enables them to go backwards in the air and to hover in one spot.
In this painting I have a little hummingbird hovering over a beautiful scarlet Tiger Lily. This is an oil on canvas painting.

I refer to them as flying fairies!! I have had several encounters with them, hovering about a foot away from my face! I hold my breath as here they do not really like to be near humans at all around here anyway, so I always believe they are spirit visitors! Your art is just magnificent!!
