Paris! Isn’t that where everyone wants to go?

It’s the place for romance, the place for shopping, the place for walking the quaint streets and seeing the Eiffel Tower in the distance. For most of us who have never been there, Paris seems real because we see it all the time in the movies, and we mentally transport ourselves there.

But do we really need to go to Paris to enjoy what we can find there? In the artwork, Girls Day out in Paris, the central focus (in addition to shopping and travel) is friendship, and we, the viewer, step into a vignette where five friends enjoy the end of a perfect day. It’s perfect not just because they’ve shopped, not just because they’ve walked the streets of Paris, but because they’ve done it together, as friends, sharing an experience that they will never forget.
And herein is where we can all enjoy the experience of Girls Day out in Paris – without having to travel to Paris. The models for the artwork are all relatives – sisters, daughters, mothers – and their friendship is that extremely satisfying one of close family ties that last through the lifetime. When friends such as this get together, it doesn’t really matter where you are – Paris, or Small Town, USA – you engage in adventure simply by being together.

There is so much talking, laughing, and listening to do, that one afternoon – especially one broken up by shopping – isn’t enough, and you grab every moment you can to prolong the day.

Girls Day out in Paris invites you, the viewer, to step into this magical day, and remember the times you have had with the people you love – one person at a time, or an entire room. Paris may be called the City of Light, but the true light comes from hearts of people who care about one another, and like nothing better than to be with one another.
