I captured this photograph of Crater Lake one peaceful evening at dusk. A short hike through the snow allowed me this vantage point just left of Crater Lake Lodge. Pictured to the left within the caldera is Wizard Island.
Crater Lake continues to inspire visitors and photographers from around the world.
7,700 years ago, a violent eruption collapsed an ancient volcano forming what we know as of today; Crater Lake. Visitors continue to marvel at the panoramic views and the natural formations of Wizard Island and Phantom Ship.
