This is always so fun and I really enjoy it and learn new things all the time. Thanks, Abbie. My edit consists of removing the tall planter poles and other artifacts from the original, then adding some more flowers, a bee keeper to depict Abbie in her new hobby and bees swirling around the scene. I also gave it a very slight painterly style.

Playing around by turning the image upside down, I thought of a twister, with all the pots and stuff flying around.
This is my very rough first attempt.
I've have too many outside choirs today to continue now....I'll work on it tonight
Maybe a volcano, now that I look at it

Three images edited for Abbie Shores recent Editing Challenge #46.
Entry #2 for Abbie Shore's Edit Challenge 46-2. I added elements to indicate watering Abbie's garden. There's a water nozzle held by a hand with water spraying out and falling on the garden with ripples of water forming on the soil. I also added a subtle rainbow forming over the water spray.

Entry #1 for Abbie Shore's Edit Challenge 46-1. I added a man tilting a watering can and water flowing out and down to Abbie's garden. I eliminated some original elements for a better overall composition and extended the sky vertically to allow the guy room in the frame.

Entry #3 for Abbie Shore's Edit Challenge 46-3. I extended the image width and added a boy climbing a beanstalk as in "Jack & The Beanstalk" (children's fable). In the center background I added a road with a delivery truck on it's way out and the text in red, "Magic Beans", and "Free Delivery" on the back door. I also gave the truck a shadow and cloned some of the terrain over to the extension behind the beanstalk.

Abbie Shores Edit This 46 - In this contest instead of trying to add, delete, or change the images within the photo...I experimented with shapes. This piece I added square blocks, with bursts of light, with floating blocks mimicking playing Rubik's Cube. Then I added a frame that matched the color scheme. Created by Teresa Trotter.

Abbie Shores Edit This 46 - In this contest instead of trying to add, delete, or change the images within the photo...I experimented with shapes. This was my favorite one. I basically spelled out the contest name and then proceeded to add the pic Abbie provided within the letters. Created by Teresa Trotter.

Well done everyone!!! Roger, love the "de"selection
Really impressed, as usual with you all!!
I've removed a lot of pieces already on the contest that have nothing to do with the contest and your hard work. Last time I removed them during voting. Cheeky sausages

The Butterfly Garden. Learned so much about the butterflies and plants for this Edit in northern UK England. There are some we don't have in the US and my favorites are the Common Blue, and the Adonis Blue, which is more southward in the UK England, but sometimes in the summer, can migrate north. The Adonis Blue is currently under medium conservation.

Sandi! Taking the time to learn about our butterflies is special! How wonderful x
I'm not sure how much time we have... But well done everyone so far. I think this is the busiest image we have done to date.
So far Roger, I think, was the only one to really disseminate it. I honestly thought more would. It's interesting to see what a difference you've all made to the same image .. that's quite amazed me.
Superb!
(Gary.. Love love the birds)

I wish I could have done more myself. But these last two years have been horrific for me. I have lost 24 people that I loved dearly. 12 to Covid-19. 8 to cancer. And 4 to illness. The last passing happened a couple of days ago. She was my Aunt and godmother. She was 96. So she lived a nice long life. But she represents the end of my family. My uncle is the last surviving sibling on my mom's side that comes from a large family of 15 siblings.
Then I have had to deal with my own health scares. One part of the test came out negative; but I have to do more extensive testing, and praying that they will turn out good too. I am also in therapy for my heart three times a week to keep it strong. Because I am dealing with CHF. Amongst other things.
If this was not enough... I am in the midst of major renovations in the senior facility I am living in. It is not cosmetic only. They are doing 9 apartments at a time with a complete gut replacing everything. I am in the midst of packing up everything to get ready when it is my turn to leave in the next couple of months. I will be out of my apartment for approximately two months. They are placing us in temporary housing at their expense.
Plus... They are building a three story lobby with lots of amenities and a third building that will hold an addition 52 residents. There will be new landscaping and a retention pond. The new place will be wonderful. They are adding a hair salon, fitness center, library, computer room, huge community activities room, nurses station, meeting rooms, outdoor settings to sit and relax...etc.
We are literally surrounded by trees even though we are just a few blocks from the ocean. I hate seeing the trees go. But this is what happens with progress. We still have our privacy and can enjoy the beach at the same time.
I know we are not suppose to talk about things that do not pertain to our artwork. So I hope you forgive me for leaving this.. However, I just wanted to let you know what I am dealing with...and why I am not as active here as I have been in the past. I have dealt with too much heartache and pain over these past couple of years. I am a fighter and a trooper. I will get through this... Life doesn't seem to like to give me many breaks. It seems to always be throwing something at me. But I am still here...alive and kicking.
I know I am not the best artist here. But these contests have helped me grow as an artist by leaps and bounds, and I am proud of myself at how far I have come. Even while I am facing all these challenges.
But with what is going on in my life right now... I just could not put in the time I wanted to with this contest. I did have a few ideas in my head that I had wanted to do differently, but it just became to overwhelming for me to complete the task. I am very sorry. I really do appreciate the contests, and enjoy entering them.

Well it does read like you have an awful lot to go through right now. Loss of loved ones is a terrible thing to go through. Very sorry to read that.
I'd definitely say you are not a bad artist at all! So please don't say that bit again...
We look forward to having your input around the discussions when you feel up to it!

Hi everyone.
It is that time again and please make your way in an orderly fashion to the voting room of Edit This 46. It begins in 18 minutes from this message.
Remember, we LOVE it if you vote for at least one other work APART from your own please.
Two votes minimum!!! If you entered 3 images, that makes 4 votes....
Thank you and GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL *insert happy dancy smiley here*
If you cannot find your work then you have joined the contest without reading the actual rules of the game. We have no sympathy,

When my daughter Jessie was three, a neighbor gave her a little fairy costume for her birthday. She spent the afternoon playing around the backyard and front yard of our house, and of course I followed her around taking photos. For 15 years now I've had it in the back of my head that I wanted to do something with those photos, but hadn't really gotten a good idea... until this contest came along! In my entry you'll see four little fairies who have been working in the garden, startled by the arrival of a giant (also Jessie, also age three)!! The one farthest to the right is rushing to the house to alert the rest of the fairies, while the other three stare at the intruder and look around to see if there are more.
I added each fairy and her "heartlight" individually, trying to work out where she was in relation to the leaves and sticks around her -- would her light hit the underside of the leaf or the top? Would it reach the other fairies? It was a long process, but one I thoroughly enjoyed, and one which will lay the foundation for a piece I'll do in the near future based entirely on my own photos, which I'll be able to upload for sale. :) So it's a win for me, even if I don't win the contest!

You may sell any images you create. That's not an issue as I've given full permission.
But I get wanting them all to be your own.
Fabulous work. Really cool!

WE HAVE JOINT WINNERS.
As you know, we do not place two winners and Robin and I will choose one shortly
SMALL PRINT
Only one winner may get the certificate so, in the event of a first place tie, my partner Rob and I will choose one winner from those joint winners Our decision is final.

This was so difficult as both the winners deserved to win!
We loved the aquarium very much. We have one at home and this was actually a great idea for something we could do in it rather than just stick plants in and a stupid treasure chest that stopped working. The bubbles were a brilliant addition! Wonderful work!!
The Enchanted Cottage is very Hansel and Gretel looking and I am a sucker for fairy tales. It is lovely.
We see a huge amount of work went into this image we can tell, and we both loved the way the dolls house had been pulled out and made a feature of creating this lovely, idyllic area that I would absolutely live!. I adored the bird feeder on the tree, a great touch!
We could only choose one however, so we chose An Enchanted Cottage, by Debra Chmelina as our winner for this Edit This. This is also a print ready image which was also a factor in choosing it.
Fabulous work, Debra! Well done!

Thank you Abbie for that gracious account of my work and noticing that it is print ready. I always create the images for your contests as I would for my own gallery and offer them for sale.
Thank you Eileen. I hope you'll continue to favor us with your very creative ideas and talent in Abbie's contests.
