BFA Ohio State 1954; painted in Cleveland and Chicago 1976-1996. Paul’s paintings reflect his primary interest with geometric form and architectural design, as well as a fixation on detail and control. Some reveal his preoccupation with religiosity, the universe, space, and overlap of inverted images. His paintings are developed from the smallest of sketches, systematically enlarged from grids to scale.
