The son of artist, Paul Krapf, Dan Krapf was a ranger in Yellowstone Park for over 30 years. He has continued to work for the Forest Service in Montana as a Helibase manager on wildland fires. Over the years he noticed his neighbor's old tractor sitting along the old ranch road. Dan got back into painting watercolors and particularly farm scenes and rust, evoking memories of bygone days.
