My first love is children's books so a lot of my images are inspired by them. I've illustrated numerous picture books for a variety of publishers and I've also shown work in galleries. I've even done illustrations for edible pet greeting cards for your dog. I work in traditional mediums like acrylic and watercolor. I also work digitally, mainly in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. I'm excited about a new technique I've developed where I scan handmade art papers and then bring them into Photoshop where I create templates for each shape to cut out of the scanned paper and then put the shapes together on numerous layers. I'm excited by this new technique (for me) and look forward to posting more work in this style.
I live in Denver, Colorado, with my dog, Tucker. When I'm not working, I'm busy playing fetch with, Tucker, and teaching him what things he can jump up on (couches, chairs, bed, laps) and what he can't (tables, kitchen counters, stove, and window ledges). Tucker is part mountain goat.
