A vintage French movie poster of ''The Moon of Israel'', a silent film released in 1924, directed by Hungarian-born filmmaker Michael Curtiz. It is based on the novel of the same name by H. Rider Haggard and is considered one of the earliest epic adventure films in cinema history.

The film is set in ancient Egypt and tells the story of the Israelites' enslavement by the Egyptians and their eventual escape under the leadership of Moses. While the core narrative is based on the biblical account of the Exodus, "The Moon of Israel" takes some creative liberties to create a more dramatic and romantic story.

The film stars Stewart Rome as Pharaoh Merneptah, who is the ruler of Egypt during the time of the Israelite captivity. The character of Moses is portrayed by the actor H. R. Hignett. The film also features the character of Merapi, an Egyptian princess played by actress Annette Benson, who falls in love with Moses, adding a romantic subplot to the story.
