Here I've layered together photos of various hand-painted Japanese papers, peeling paint on the side of a fishing boat, torn papers, Kanji writing, adobe walls, and more to create this piece which looks sort of like worn ceramic tiles stacked one upon the other. I like the warm colors, the texture, and the overall earthy look.
