Within a hazy, fog-filled setting, a person appears to be exerting force against a utility pole with a rope, creating an illusion as though attempting to pull it down. The stark, monochromatic tones emphasize a contrast between the geometric lines of the pole and the organic forms of the surrounding landscape. A sense of tension is evoked by the individual's body posture and the angle of the rope against the pole.
