A vintage Dutch movie poster of ''Souls at Sea'', a 1937 American adventure film directed by Henry Hathaway and produced by Paramount Pictures. The film is set in the early 19th century and revolves around the perilous adventures of a group of sailors on a whaling ship. The movie stars Gary Cooper as the lead character, Michael "Moke" Cassidy, and George Raft as Powdah, his loyal friend and shipmate.

The story begins with Michael Cassidy, a former pirate, who has now reformed and become a sailor on a whaling ship. When the ship, the "Pillar of Fire," sets sail on a dangerous voyage to hunt for whales, it becomes embroiled in a conflict with another vessel, the "Queen of the Pacific." This leads to a tense and action-packed showdown between the two ships.

Amidst the sea battles and thrilling escapades, a romantic subplot unfolds as Michael Cassidy falls in love with a passenger on the ship, Margaret Livingston, played by Frances Dee. Their love story adds an emotional dime...
