Description
Each ear of corn is pollinated through its corn silk. Corn silk is also used as an important fiber by the Chinese and Native Americas. Corn silk is a sustainable fiber.
This photographic montage features 18 individual ears of corn with there "sister golden hair-esque looks" and put together using digital technology.
Muse & whimsy for this collection of photographs is Corn Silk grows hair, different colors of hair, even different textures and personas. This poster created as 24"x72" displays 18 corn silk hair do, hair maize. Series of individual photos also available.
The photos are slightly edited to standardize each box for uniformity. This piece is mixed media as it is a series of photographs, assembled digitally, and capturing the farm fresh essence of wild craft arts.
Did you know that corn silk is beneficial for health! I didn't until this artwork began more research about its importance and beauty. Corn silk is also used as an important fiber by the Chinese and Native Americas.
This artwork celebrates Native Americas this November with traditional arts and crops.
