I love this picture of my hummingbirds for the shadow of its beak that falls on the breast of this little female Anna hummingbird. Her wings are in flight, yet it seems this little one is suspended in air. Its little feet are folded under the feathers ready for a timely landing. Interestingly enough, hummingbird feet only clasp onto the branch or twig on which they land. Hummingbird feet do not allow them to walk or hop…just one of the interesting facts of these tiniest of birds.
