Description
Late and early day photography shots, even in winter offer up rich, colorful Frances Marion National Forest Santee River scenes and this wonderful day in January was no exception. The South Santee River is mirroring Bald Cyprus trees leaning over the river and it's banks from a kayak I was in, meandering down the river near sunset. Look carefully and you will see a heart in those branches. I was invited to try out a kayak propelled using your feet which allowed my hands to shoot a camera. I was gone for maybe 10 minutes when I caught this mirrored image. I love this photo more every time I view. If you look carefully you will see a sideways heart formed by the branches. There are just some shots that call for black and white photography and this is one of them.
Also available in color.

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
