Description
A tall white crane stands alert in its natural habitat, with a distinct red patch on its head. It appears vigilant, possibly scanning the environment for food or threats, set against a blurred background of autumn-colored foliage. I was thrilled to see this Sandhill Crane when I went on a drive to shoot fall foliage. I was happy to find a flock of six of them in a field instead. This one posed regally for me to capture his pose. They are a large crane of North America and we occasionally see them where I live in Ohio. Sandhill Crane Encounter
