My father owns the same truck its the same color and everything and it originally sat in grandfather's garage with a gravel driveway until we pulled it out and rescued it and this photo reminds me of that day cause the garage even looks the same too. I will eventually hang it on my wall im remodeling my living room and ima hang it on my wall when it's done to pay respect to my father who bought me my first home and someday he's leaving this truck to me to carry on its legacy.
High quality facsimile edition of a poster by Catalan moderist Ramon Casas (1866-1932), featuring himself posing in what looks like a drizabone raincoat at the bar, for legendary Barcelonian bohemian hang-out Els Quatre Gats. The cafe opened in 1897 in the Casa Marti - a modernista building designed by Josep Puig in 1896 - and became a central meeting point for Barcelona’s most prominent modernist figures, including Pablo Picasso, Santiago Rusinol and Casas himself. The bar closed due to financial difficulties in 1903, but reopened and was restored to its original condition in 1989. Pere Romeu, the name at the base of the poster, was the owner of the cafe. Romeu was a promoter and cultural animator, puppeteer, amateur painter with close links to Catalonia's modernisme movement. According to Wikipedia, he was 'the soul of the place,' a tall, disheveled, bearded individual who was often the subject of paintings and sketches by Picasso, the illustrator Ricard Opisso, Casas and others.
