I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks
Artist's Description
Laughing Wine Jesus was a commission from a family member, offered here with permission. In this piece, my focus is on the humanity of Jesus. I wanted to portray him in a candid moment, where he is totally cracking up, possibly at an off-color joke. He was a man who could have used his power for self enrichment, but prefered to spend his time to uplift the marginalized and weak. To me this speaks to the humanity and divinity in every person.
About Rochelle Walden
Rochelle Walden has been a professional face and body painter for 16 years. She started painting in acrylics on canvas in 2017 as a way to explore new creative avenues and deal with political anguish. Rochelle works with commissioned family and legacy portraiture, and is personally inspired by important figures and issues involving social justice. She has two adult children, an indulgent husband, and a deep and abiding thirst for a fair and compassionate society.
