The beach towel is really just for laying on inasmuch as it is too big and heavy to put around your body, which is just fine. The artwork in it is beautiful. I can't wait to use it.

Wow - I didn't realise it was going to be that big! It's a gift for a young member of the family - I think he'll be thrilled as he's a tractor fanatic at 6 years old. A practical gift too. The towel has a smoother upper side so it'll be more comfortable to sit on at the beach. It seems to have a thick absorbent power so no usual skinny beach towel.

Sue's beautiful sunlit Victorian era ladies, in their lace and flower adorned fashionable big hats, are certainly a pleasure to look at. Her friends and family posed for these pastel paintings wearing actual vintage clothes to help bring her nostalgic ladies to life. Sue's delightfully delicate attention to detail and use of color creates this romantic realism that she is well-known for.
Sue Halstenberg has lived in Southern California her entire life. She studied Art History at UC San Diego before earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, where she studied under many accomplished artists. Sue started her career as a department store fashion illustrator with her drawings continuously appearing in the Los Angeles Times for over seven years. She later attended workshops at Scottsdale Artist's School where she was most influenced by the outdoor figure painting class of George Carlson.
