Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Hoover Dam. This concrete dam (left) is located on the Colorado River, in Black Canyon, on the border between Nevada and Arizona, USA. It is over 200 metres tall, holding back the waters of the reservoir behind it (Lake Mead). It was built between 1931 and 1936. Numerous pylons and cables distribute the electricity generated by its hydroelectric power station. The bridge partially seen at upper right is the Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, which allows traffic to bypass the road that passes along the top of the dam. This bridge was opened in 2010. Photographed in 2011.
