A fine piece that could have been so much better. Where's Clint Walker? Where's Robert Mitchum, Kirk Douglas, Sam Elliott, Jack Elam, where's Richard Widmark, Burt Lancaster and Anthony Quinn? I could go on and on, I know space is a factor in how many people can be put in a painting. One way to free up room is to eliminate the likes of Steve Martin, John Travolta, Billy Crystal, all of the "Dukes of Hazzard", Gene Wilder, Cleavon Little, Jerry Reed and for God sake what is Donna Douglas as "Elly Mae Clampett doing in this painting of a western saloon? Tom Laughlin as "Billy Jack"? Johnny Depp as Tonto? I doubt Dustin Hoffman would even recognize himself from "Little Big Man". Like I said, it could have been so much better.

The Hollywood Sign, originally "HOLLYWOODLAND," graced the Santa Monica Mountains in 1923 as a bold advertisement for a real estate development.
As it was often seen in local movie backgrounds, the sign became an internationally recognized symbol that still stands tall today.
The 1940s brought an unexpected twist when a caretaker's mishap toppled the letter "H." It was promptly replaced, and "LAND" was removed, setting the stage for decades of captivating transformations.
In the 1970s, the Hollywood Sign became a canvas for pranksters, who transformed it into "HOLLYWEED" as a playful nod to marijuana laws.
