Hanakapiai beach along the Na Pali Coast from the Kalalau Trail on Kauai, Hawaii
The Kalalau Trail is one of the most spectacular trails on the planet. On a scale of 10, it is a 10 on beauty. It is also one of the most difficult trails in Hawaii.
To get to Hanakapiai Beach, you need to start at the trailhead right by Kee Beach at the end of the road on the north shore of Kauai. It is about a two mile hike to Hanakapiai Beach. Take plenty of water and snacks, this is not all that easy. You will want to sit on the beach for a while. There are often rip currents here, so do not plan on swimming. Explore the beach and you will find a small cave.
