The city of Hattingen is close to Essen and Duesseldorf in the Ruhr Region in Nord Rhein Westfalen part of Germany. Many of the little cities and villages have beautiful old framework houses, castles and walls around the city which are either totally or partially still standing. This seems to be the front porch of the house. As it might seem a restaurant it was necessary to put the sign out indicating that this is a private area.
