(Original Caption) 9/8/27-Rye,NY- 288 golfers, 55-years of age and older,are entered in the 23rd annual seniors' championship that is being played over at the Apawamis Country Club course at Rye, NY.Because of the size of the field, the field was divided into 2 parts and the best score for 36 holes of medal play will decide the winner.The photo shows Frank H. Hoyt of the Engineers Club,the present titleholder,who gained his crown by a 10-stroke margin last year,playing from a trap at edge of 18th during first day of play.
