I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.
I think this started with a box fan.
I’ll tell you a secret. Sometimes I start with a totally random nonsense photograph. I’ll just pull out my phone and focus in on something and zap off a few pictures. Blur my eyes or try for chiaroscuro type composition.
And the center of the box fan slowly became the looming eyes of an owl. And so I worked from there. And I remembered that the Gods sent Perseus a mechanical owl--in the 70’s classic move--”Clash of the Titans”. And I knew I’d accidentally manifested ole BUPO from the innards of a box fan. And he has that hypnogogic stare. And he’s just staring at you. Do you see it?
