Description
Madison, Wisconsin, USA - Red-winged blackbirds are one of the most numerous birds in North America. They eat seeds, some small fruits and berries, and many insects. This one was spotted at Picnic Point, an almost 1-mile-long peninsula within the UW (University of Wisconsin) Lakeshore Nature Preserve. It is located on the south shore of Lake Mendota, Madison's largest lake.
