I am a big fan of vintage portrait photography and in particular early burlesque (exotic dancers) so I found a model who is currently a burlesque performer so she knew how to dress and pose.
Olivia the subject of the image is a trained ballet dancer, burlesque performer and model and also has many period costumes so she was ideal.
I took the shot in my Leeds UK studio and built the set, had the curtains made and built the 'chaise lounge' out of wood.
I wanted to show vintage style and beauty
