My father owns the same truck its the same color and everything and it originally sat in grandfather's garage with a gravel driveway until we pulled it out and rescued it and this photo reminds me of that day cause the garage even looks the same too. I will eventually hang it on my wall im remodeling my living room and ima hang it on my wall when it's done to pay respect to my father who bought me my first home and someday he's leaving this truck to me to carry on its legacy.
The title comes from a Jefferson Starship song, Hyperdrive. Without going into great detail, the song and the Triangle Door refer to spiritual transformation. The image itself owes a great deal to the Swiss artist Arnolod Bocklin, particularly his Isle of the Dead paintings, and perhaps even more to Ferdinand Keller's painting, Bocklin's Tomb. The southwestern arches put me in mind of portals.
