Las Vegas. True colour satellite image of Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. North is at top. The lake at right is Lake Mead, the largest man-made lake in the world. Formed by water impounded by the Hoover Dam, it supports the high demand for water caused by the many golf courses and gardens of Las Vegas. Las Vegas is the most populous city in Nevada. Image taken on 13th May 1975.
