This painting was commissioned as a gift for one of the Interpreter Ones at Mount Vernon. She can be seen on the right colonnade on her last day at Mount Vernon.

I studied at the Art Institute of Boston, and the Corcoran School of Art in Washington DC. The first time I experienced the spontaneity, freshness, transparency, and freedom of watercolors, I was hooked for life. My love for watercolors began with a class and workshop at the Corcoran however, I consider myself self-taught because with each new painting I learn something new and exciting about this wonderful medium.
