I would like the DISCOVER button on our personal websites to be replaced with an IMAGES button instead, or at least have an IMAGES CHOICE.
As it is now, there's no way to get to images alone, as far as I can determine.

Change the watermark to read something like, This Watermark will NOT appear on your item.

In other words, if some customers don’t buy because they fear the watermark is part of the design, let the watermark tell them otherwise.

Is it possible to add a "Default Artwork Category" for AI-generated art imagery?

L A Feldstein

Edit: Agree with Andrew - safeguard our images.

Agree with Artificial Intelligence - add a separate category for ai art

I'll use up my wish again for this month. We need an NO AI robot clause like deviant art has.

Our crawler respects the robots.txt exclusion standard. The simplest way not to get crawled would be to set up a "disallow" rule for our crawler "CCBot". See our FAQ (https://commoncrawl.org/faq) for more details.

For the crawler that got us the first time.

And a watermark on the thumbnails to prevent it again...

And it seems only the site itself can remove us from the database, I know i'm hitting a dead end.

----Mike Savad

The Digital or Mixed Media category should not be the means by which AI art is categorized. Create an AI category. Do we really need a jewelry or sculpture category to take up the space that AI is quickly filling?

Flo Karp

Yes please, for those saying AI needs its own category. Most of my work is digital - some have traditional pieces included, and those I might categorize under Mixed Media, but the rest are under Digital. I do the work for those digital pieces: I paint, I draw, I am 100% involved with every aspect. If AI is going to be under digital, then I'll start listing my stuff in Paintings because I do not want to be associated with AI art at all.

VIVA Anderson

Please install a MEDIUM category specifically for A.l Art, because, it needs one, and, just 'digital' does not help it be found. .T.Y.

I mean we do have a pyrography category, it would make sense to isolate AI.

Instead of continuing to add new features to the website, I would suggest stopping new development and refactoring the existing code, even if it takes several months.

The search function in particular has been fragile for much of this year.

I think Sean would get a bigger bang for his buck by focussing for several months on making the website more robust instead of making incremental new features.

Floyd Snyder

The Blogs feature is significantly lacking regarding the current technology, as is the email system.

The fact that we can not use punctuation in many places needs improvement.

We need to be able to put both images and links in both of them.

I would like to see FAA have its marketing department do 5-6 email templates or formats we could choose from.

Those missed opportunities could increase sales for individuals and FAA if more people used them, but they must be on par with other blogging systems.

Shelia Hunt

Please incorporate the Drag-and-Drop sorting feature for our images, and also within each collection. This will be so much quicker to sort our images rather than the Edit/Number system now in place, which is much more time-consuming. Some images just look better beside others... It will also allow you to showcase companion photos together within a gallery by the simple Drag-and-Drop.

Jodi DiLiberto

I have to chime in and add my voice to those who have suggested protection from AI scraping our images.

Donna Mibus

Ooooohhh… I would really love to second Shelia Hunt’s suggestion for the dragging and dropping of images to arrange their order.

But alas! I’ve already submitted my one suggestion. (woe is me!)

But if I hadn’t already made my one suggestion, I would definitely second Shelia Hunt’s suggestion.

Every month a fair number of suggestions are submitted and every month I see suggestions previously submitted. I for one submitted several suggestions and I have no idea if they were even considered. Did I miss the memo?

Is there a comprehensive list of previously submitted suggestions with status for us to review (IE. rejected with reason, under review, being worked on, etc. etc.)

Please, please, add some protection on the site to prevent AI from scraping our images.

I bring this up every now and then - shape cropping for certain products. Imagine a circle or oval or diamond crop option for customers purchasing apparel on Pixels. Suddenly, millions of art options open up to being t-shirt design friendly. Artists don't have to create separate crop versions of art for certain products, and FAA opens up huge sales possibilities instantly. Heck, circle crops already exist for products like the round towels - shouldn't be difficult to modify that for a few other things. I cringe a bit when someone buys a t-shirt with a rectangle photo on it, as it looks to me awkward and unprofessional as a t-shirt design in that shape. I take the sale, but also think, what if......

Please (wildly!) expand what is shown for a given keyword under 'Collections' and 'Artists' upon clicking the new PRODUCTS COLLECTIONS ARTISTS buttons.

I am with Bill. Some members are using comments for spamming and self-advertising. A feature allowing to block them would be helpful.

A statuary AI watermark on all AI images… Agree with the need for an AI category. Selecting AI as a category would trigger the statuary AI watermark.

Potential customers should know in advance that the image they are looking at was created using a third party AI art creator.

Give buyers the option to turn art into a tryptic with individual prints, probably on something like metal. That would be awesome as my brother wants one of my prints in a tryptic and they are not easy to find.

Here's a suggestion....everybody stop treating AI artists as second class citizens who are all out to deceive, and the art they add to the site as not even art.

Please consider giving Abbie the ability to email all members with site concerns rather than having the group admins do it. I would much rather receive one email from Abbie than receive 150 when every admin of all the many groups I belong to sends me the same damn information. Besides, an email from Abbie, as rare as I expect that to be, would certainly catch the eye of the readers' who regularly delete group email, in addition to reaching the members who don't belong to groups at all.

And I 26th the request for an AI scraping block.

Paul Boizot

I second Susan's suggestion re Abbie emailing us directly.

Mike Savad

I mean they mean well, but getting all those group mails takes so much time to ignore and erase them.

VIVA Anderson

@Rose, the issue, imho, is not whether A.l is deceptive, the issue is there is no OFFICIAL category for it, for the benefit of buyers !! who
have a right to know. After all, A.l is way 'more' that 'digital' art, as all you users of it well know.

Regarding the message about 'image stretching' from Abbie currently bombarding everyone via the Group Admins: it sounds as though this is pretty important, especially as it seems that buyers have the option of using this too (thereby possibly generating a sub-standard product that then causes problems both for them and for FAA, not to mention to the reputations of the artists), so why not simply remove the option to make the image bigger? Leave it there for shrinking the image, and leave the option to move the image so that it suits different products better, but make it impossible to enlarge the image inappropriately.

I would like to be able to change the default setting for discussion posts order. Instead of always defaulting to latest response, I would like to set this to latest post and then have that be my default whenever I go to discussions.

Please make the option to stretch the images too large impossible. As it is now, there is no way for customers to know if they are doing it. As I designer, I wasn't even aware the slider didn't stop at an acceptable size. I assumed it wouldn't allow over stretching. I would think most customers would make the same assumption.

Shelli Fitzpatrick

I would like to suggest since we are lumping AI in with Digital art could we get a separate category for traditional digital art. You know like the digital art we have been doing since before the text to image generators came on the scene.

Maybe call it old school digital art or something so that there is a way to tell the difference. This is not meant to offend any AI users. Just as a way for traditional digital artists like me not to get lost in the shuffle.

Michelle Tinger

I agree with some comments above. Put in some sort of algorithm that PREVENT images that don't meet the size requirement for certain products from being available or able to be stretched.

Donna Mibus

Shelli, on another POD (who shall remain nameless!) they have these subcategories under Digital:
3D
Airbrush
Anime
Fractal
Paintings
Photomanipulation
Pixel
Vector

I suppose AI could be added to a list like that.

Please add some protection on the site to prevent AI from scraping our images. To my understanding the most effective way to do this is to set up Robot.txt to disallow AI bots.

It seams to me that the limit of 25MG is outdated I like my artwork in PNG form so that when you stretch it won't lose resolution JPEG is fine for some but hard to stay under the 25MB limit with todays PNG resolutions I think it should be raised to 40MG I know with that might come a increase in price which I would be OK with to get the increase.

Dave Dilli

Please increase the limit of 25MG for photos. That is extremely outdated and does not even come close to keeping up with your competition.
Regardless of what you may think, the resolution is degraded when you downsize images. I personally know multiple professional photographers who refuse to use FAA for tis reason only. I have to downsize about 75% of my images so they can be uploaded here- there is no reason for that.

I also would not mind paying slightly more to have access to larger files.

Hello! Thank you so much for all your work!

May I mention, please, maybe the voting system for non members has got something that needs to be worked on?
I mention it because I have someone who tried to vote me tghrogh facebook for the edit contest but they couldn't.
It's the second time it happens that's why I report it, just for your information, if you don't mind. They are not artists.

Thank you so much anyway!!

Ii is sad to read the reviews and people don't seem to understand why they need to destroy the wrong or broken or imperfect item to get a refund or another item sent. Customer service needs to have better directions to give to people so that they understand clearly why doing the destruction is actually not a bad thing

I would love to see all products for sale on the image screen. If the art is being viewed by a new buyer how would they know to click on an item that they don't want in order to get to the one that they do?
Thanks in advance!!

Can we please get it set up here on FAA to run the new Google Analytics 4?

A quicker way to disable products on new and previously uploaded images. A disable all products button would be so much faster than going through and erasing prices manually for each image. .

Sue Zipkin

I just read the message about ‘image stretching’ in a group.

It takes a long time to create something that will work for basic items like prints as a 25 MB file.

Based on the message there is some flexibility. I am still not clear on when there is a problem(other than the actual file dimensions) one would need to know, the dimensions on each file, although I keep a record of all of my uploads, it would be extremely time-consuming to go back and check each one, and make sure that it would work on each product that is a larger size.

I'm also confused because from my understanding a customer can stretch something with the little button.

In summary, my request would be that FAA could put some kind of visual warning sign or even shut off products that will not work properly for printing. If that's impossible, then it would be great if there was an easier more intuitive way to shut off a product as opposed to having to do it behind the scenes. You know just be able to click a button on the visual mock up to shut it off.

Thank you for your consideration.

I would love to see Discover and American Express added as forms of payment verses just Visa and Mastercard, lots of people including myself have Discover or American Express and pretty much everyone else excepts them as forms of payment, it would be great!!

Please reconsider modifying the keywords. I shoot mostly birds and having bird and feather as keywords and not mentioning the type of bird or anything else about the scene does absolutely no good for my work or anyone else posting bird photos. It is really disheartening to see this happening because it does neither me nor Fine Art America any good.

I'm sure it's been suggested before, but how about a summary page showing top selling images in your account - number of sales and profit per image?

Nina, I've given a better way of saying it to people in cs. I'm hoping they'll follow that and it will cut some of those reviews down.

Abbie, then I don't understand where Tags that are not keywords I entered come from. I apologize for any mis-understanding or error on my part. I just now checked my keywords made an edit to them and that changed the Tags for the photo. I will do that on my other photos. Wouldn't have done that if it weren't for your note. Thank you.

@Abbie Shores, I have been going through my photos and making sure I only have valid keywords in case I made mistakes. I have started to eliminate all use of the word "feather" because I found two where the Tag created from the keywords was "feather stilllife" and nowhere in any of my photos do I use the keyword stilllife. I went ahead and made the change to correct it. Just now I found another odd case here is a link to the photo https://fineartamerica.com/featured/roseate-spoonbill-in-flight-0089-marvin-reinhart.html?newartwork=true it is a photo of a spoonbill bird one of my keywords is spoon which is how I have heard someone refer to them. In the Tags one of the Tags is spoon stilllife. This is the sort of thing I am talking about. If I didn't do it by entering (which that keyword isn't in my list), and no process on Fine Art America didn't create that the Tag spoon stilllife then there is really something extremely odd happening. I will leave this one unchanged so you can see that I don't make this stuff up. I am going on to check all my other bird photos and change the problem when I find it. But, honestly something with intelligence and purpose is causing this situation. Peace, Marvin
