This watercolor painting captures a woman wearing a yellow sari dress, softly lit by the sun, as she is about to board a bus.

The story of her travel is open to the imagination in this random urban scene that somehow feels dreamy & wanderlust. Perhaps she's a tourist exploring diverse locations & collecting memorable experiences on an epic journey.

This art is a personal favorite, the original painting is part of my private collection.

There had been some sheep thefts in the English Lake District, and the owner of this flock that I encountered in Troutbeck had dyed the herd orange to dissuade rustlers. There was also a TV news crew interviewing the farmer.

“GLADE CREEK GRIST MILL”
The historic Glade Creek Grist Mill at Babcock State Park is a new mill that was completed in 1976. Fully operable, this mill depicts an old pioneer mill that was once located on Glade Creek. The mill was created by combining parts of three mills which sat along Glade Creek, while the basic structure of the mill dates back to 1890.

Thank you for the votes of my "Misty Fire Sunrise Geese at Whittlesey Preserve" by Patti Deters. This orange sky was one of the most intense colors I've ever seen in a cloudless sky. Whittlesey Creek National Wildlife Refuge is part of a large coastal wetland complex on the south shore of Lake Superior near Ashland, Wisconsin, located entirely within the Town of Barksdale, Bayfield County. An early morning drive along the shoreline often see fog and mist rolling in and over the marsh grasses from the Great Lake. The preserve is home to an abundance of birds and other wildlife, including this flock of geese we saw flying into the sun. This scenic panorama shows the trees and birds in silhouette.
