2 Truths And 1 Lie

One player states three things about themself, two of which are true and one of which is a lie.
You then have to guess which is the lie.
The player who guesses correctly first takes the next turn.

------

I will start you off..................

1 I can play the violin
2 I was homeless for a year
3 I was a welder

Which is the lie?

The person asking the question has only 7 hours to come back to the thread or someone else can jump in and all for people to find their lie. This keeps the game going......

Mike is correct. I cannot play a violin

Mike's turn

I was a welder at a shipyard :) I was one of the two first ever women on the shop floor welding
I was homeless for a year

Mike Savad

I forgot where you said welder, but I remembered it. I also figured you would have a ton of still life's with violins in them.

1. I know how to solder microscopically.
2. I'm known as a people person, i'm very out going, I simply love people.
3. I own over a hundred hammers.

What is the time limit on this?

Thanks OAFD.

I have not lifted/carried the weight that Only A Fine Day has but:

1 - I lift weights and at one point could bench press my own weight

2 -I've run half-marathons

3 - At one point, my trainer wanted me to compete in women's bodybuilding

#3 is true. Being introverted, this was not something I wanted to pursue. Although it was tempting.

OAFD - very impressed with what you accomplished in a traditionally 'man's' field. I had a friend who was a general contractor and got so frustrated with lack of opportunity, etc. that eventually she left the field in frustration.

Maria is correct. I have never run a marathon. In fact, I hate running.

1- True: I lift weights and at one point could bench press my own weight:

About 12 years ago, I was able to bench press my own weight -- but not on a regular basis, only a few times. I used to be able to, on a regular basis, bench press about 80-85% of my own weight. But, since the shut down and being a germophobe, I haven't been in a gym. At home, I use resistance bands.

L A, you are still in better shape than I.

Which Is a lie:

1. I can speak & read in Portuguese.

2. I only speak in Greek, at my mother, when I was mad at her, for scolding me.

3. I learned to speak Polish from a neighbour.

#1 is a lie.

Doug, Please try and guess Maria's lie. If you guess correctly, then it's your turn to post Thanks

Whoever say #3 ~ gets to go next.

#3, Is a lie: I never learned Polish.

#2, true ~ I learned the Greek language, when I was a preschooler, from my Greek preschooler boy friend, who lived next door, I taught him Portuguese; and he taught me Greek, while sitting on the front porch, all summer, when he moved away, I forgot the language since there was no one else to talk to, in Greek. I remember this, because my mother complained to my Dad, “Why did we come to Canada? She (me) doesn’t speak Portuguese to me, not even English? How am I to punish her properly, when she misbehaves?” I would tell my mom, how I felt, in the Greek language and continue to speak in Greek, while playing on the floor with toys, all day long, until Dad came home, then I was very, very quite. Dad was cool, he actually was proud of me for learning another language, to my mother’s frustration. ~ I still love my mom, but for awhile I was free from scolding.

#1, true ~ I bothered my parents & grandmother for lessons.

#3 was the last guess, which was the lie,

so anyone, can jump in and continue . .

1- I had a bird that hunted small fish and game.

2- I had a cat that walked with me without a leash.

3- I had a dog that learned any trick after one try.

#3 is a lie

Only A Fine Day

Well, #3 is a fact.

I had a dog that was super smart. He did in fact learn tricks after he was shown what to do once, and he got it on his next try.
For example, I taught him to touch the doorknob with his nose (He was a big dog) instead of scratching the door.
He did it immediately and every time thereafter. In fact, he spent the day doing it to make sure that he had ME trained.

He was the last dog I ever had.
After he died, I couldn't bring myself to have another dog. They all disappointed me.

Recapping. .

1- I had a bird that hunted small fish and game.

2- I had a cat that walked with me without a leash.

3- I had a dog that learned any trick after one try. (true)

Looking for a 50/50 guess.
