I love your steampunk work, Mike, especially your self-portraits.
Lots of cool images in this thread.

I digitally manipulated a self-portrait photo to simulate a watercolor painting effect 2-26-21.
This is a self-made plaster of Paris life mask painted with watercolor for realism. I placed the self-likeness mold into a flannel jacket hoodie an stuffed it too resemble a person lying in the bed just for kicks to see how real it could appear.

This started out as a cell phone snap in the mirror a few years back. I was having a halfway decent hair day for once and wanted to record the unusual event for my hair stylist ... this long .. not shorter, not longer ... etc., hence the goopy facial expression. There was a group contest here at FAA at some point ... I think it had to do with our feelings about the Covid lock-down? And I thought that expression just about nailed my feelings to a T, lol!!!

This avatar that I took last week turned out well. I had to take advantage of the 12 lbs I gained over the holidays which eliminated all my wrinkles. And now I am down 5, so very soon my selfies will have more character and maturity.

An image of myself attempting what I call the "Potter Effect". No digital trickery... just good timing with a wireless remote and 3 second delay set on the camera. :)
An OOF (Out Of Frame), also known as OOB (Out Of Bounds) image of the photographer being dangled outside the picture frame. The giant hand protrudes from the Baltimore Museum of Modern Art at Federal Hill in Baltimore, Maryland.

The assignment for our college-level graphic design or typography course was to create a self-portrait using only type. This is what I came up with. I can no longer name all the fonts used. But to give you an idea, the eyeglasses are made from a letter G. When I had two teenagers living at home, this was a good likeness.
