My metal prints are fine. I am confused by your post - who said the resolutions were bad?

We can’t see if your images are good or bad because you haven’t enabled the high resolution preview.

My metal prints have looked superb!

FAA will not print images with bad resolution, regardless of substrate.....right?

Who said they were bad? Buyers or Quality Control?

Hi G Berry,

If FAA refused to print you should have received an email explaining why and an opportunity to fix the issue.

If you do not understand what the issue is you can always email the sender of those emails for an explanation.

I purchased a very large 48" x 36" metal print of my own art & I'm thrilled with the resolution & wonderful quality of the metal print!

I agree, neither we nor buyers can tell the quality of the original image without the enlargement turned on, that can potentially limit sales. I've had no problem with metal prints except one many years ago that had a separating wood frame. It was replaced with no hassle.

It depends on what the buyer is expecting. FAA will print and send out a 60 inch print with a file that other sites may limit to 24x36 or maybe 36x48. If the buyer is expecting the 60 inch print to be as sharp as a 12x18 print, chances are they will be disappointed. When someone looks at a 12x18 inch print they'll probably be standing a lot closer to it than they will a 60 inch print. If they stand 2 feet from a 60 inch print, the detail isn't going to look as sharp as if they look closely as a 12x18 inch print.

Over the past five years I have purchased (about) a dozen metal prints. All were manufactured at the FAA/PIXELS UK print shop. All are excellent examples of the quality made possible by the die sublimation (Chromaluxe style) process. Not only high resolution but tough and durable too. It is the substrate I recommend for all my abstract outcomes.
