One A Day Flower Head Art

no photos? pity!

The heading says "one" a day and the posting says "two"....I will just do one.

Vintage Peony is an altered photograph taken of a peony in full bloom. This particular flower was blooming on one of my mother's many peony shrubs in Ohio.

The peony is an herbaceous perennial plant blooming in late spring and early summer. They are native to Asia, Europe and Western North America. They are some of the most popular plants in temperate regions and are sold as cut flowers on a large scale.

Flowers range in color from purple red to white or yellow. Some of the white blooms are rimmed in pink or red. Many are fragrant.

Nice image and I believe a nice image of a Cosmos.....like this image, but from the front and OH, yeah, WHITE! LOL!



Beautiful Pink Cosmos flowers, at peak, in my "Secret Garden". These are planted, with seeds and came up, just now, after the Sunflowers finally died off.

Cosmos is native to scrub and meadowland in Mexico where most of the species occur, as well as the United States, as far north as the Olympic Peninsula in Washington, Central America, and to South America as far south as Paraguay.

Here is my second and final one of the day ( only 2 per day ) and again i do not know the name of this flower, but it is a stunning yellow that i have enhanced with art effect with a minimum added texture effect to give the image as natural a look as possible.



Beautiful images from all so far and yes no photos Viva as seeing others arty effect flowers allows me to learn and improve, i can do that also with photos, but i love adding art effects.

This may be a stretch. If not acceptable I will delete...

All good David, an abstract of a single rose is acceptable.

I believe your pretty yellow flower is a Daisy!

Here's a beautiful Spider Lily and there are a few flowers called Spider Lilies, both this, an Amaryllis and also a Crinum which has an almost identical bloom, but the leaves are much different. I was given this bulb last year and didn't really know what it was, Crinum or Amaryllis or what and then it bloomed the other day and was pleasantly surprised!!! My Day lilies are in the background!

This is a watercolor painting of beautiful red Gloxinias. The petals are bright velvety red with white fringe on the edges that give them a ruffled, frilly look. They harmonize nicely with the green leaves veined with white.

 

Douglas, your white flower in your opening post is a Cosmos, I'm seeing the foliage nearby & that's distinct to that flower.

I see Rich posted same ID earlier, happens when we don't always scroll all the way down through threads  ;)

Yes Tibor, this image thread is all about digital art flower heads, they can though be manipulated photos (thanks Jessica) with an art filter or effects.

Here in southern California, the beautiful purple/lavender flowers appear in spring and last until mid-late summer. They are a visual delight!
