Please Allow Shopping Cart Widget To View Collections

Love the FAA Shopping Cart widget. However, it renders artwork as the default view. This is not only confusing but intimidating to customers rendering an endless stream of content. Better to have the Collections (Galleries) view, which is a much more organized presentation. Also, the widget does not contain all the native features: Recently Viewed, Additional Products, Tags. BEGGING for a way to modify embed code accordingly!

I just noticed that you are selling calendars on your site, but you are selling them on merchandise as well? How is that supposed to work? Calendars on Pillows, phone cases, face masks etc

The calendars were a quickie for the holiday season and were uploaded using my default parameters. They actually look great on pouches, shirts, even mugs, and one customer purchased a 60" tapestry! However, this topic pertains to the shopping car widget... care to comment?

Hello

By default it shows all images and you have no controls on the site to change that. However, I have written a tutorial that will allow you to show a shop choice as your homepage. https://ourartsmagazine.com/blog/2019/06/18/pixels-fine-art-america-adding-widgets-showing-category-first/

Thanks, I'll try that.

Whoa - calendars. Brilliant. I have made them like that for sale "elsewhere" but never thought to put them here - and put them on products.

New project for my more popular images. Thank you...

I built my website around Abbie's tutorial. I just published a blog post on my site for anyone geeky enough to want to embed the store into their website. I can pull up any photo in any product, any collection, and any search by plugging variables into the URL. If you want to give it a shot, and you know your way around JavaScript and WordPress, my code is all here:

Just what I'm looking for, thx! BTW, have you noticed that mobile is a bit wonky where the cart itself is partially off screen and obscured?

Abbie, attempting to implement the revised Cart code as per your tutorial. First, there's is no "Premium" section in my dashboard so I assume you mean to grab the code from the Widget Manager under the Marketing tab? In any event, I followed the instructions to identify and select the target default page on my site. That page is the Collections overview, which unfortunately was not available for selection. I can grab a specific Collection, but not the gallery view of all Collections. Please advise. Thanks, Eric

@darinvolpe Thx for posting your cart tutorial. Not clear to me if the code can be modified to render all Collections, not just a specific one?

I haven't figured out how to do that. I don't think so because of the way the widget uses the drop-down selector for collections instead of pulling up a collection page.
