Creating Video Content For Hungry Eyeballs

People are starving for things to watch. Why not take this stay at home time to produce some content for people stuck at home?

Nice one, Ed!

And funny you should mention it.. I just started a new YouTube channel the day before yesterday. For maybe two years I've been videotaping 30-second nature clips, always with the idea of putting them on YT. I finally got around to doing it. I'm going to try to upload daily. Here's my first one.

Yeah Ed, I'm all for that!

So happy that I have my new computer and it's not blue screening anymore! The old one used to crash all the time during video editing.

Here's another quickie of a big flock of gulls taking off in unison. This was taken just after the herring spawn when all the birds congregate to feast.

Thanks Peggy. Fun thread ...enjoying everyone's shares. Your gulls taking off = bliss + + +, & your sea lions -- what we'll all be like when this *##***__%#%^^% is done with & we can buddy up again!

I like to keep'em short & sweet, too, like yours, keeping attention span of milliseconds in mind LOL. Also, an amazing curator that I worked with early on -- had some amazing observations on content & editing.

'"Pedestrian" he remarked on a first effort. 'Fade in, fade out -- b-o-r-i-n-g." Next studio visit -- fun seeing his eyes almost completely dilated on viewing my subsequent offering.

Not a word was spoken. Understood.   One of the best mentors of my artistic career.

Ha ha, yup, nothing like lying on a bunch of hot rocks and going "arr arr arr arr!" as loud as you can...something to look forward to, like you say, Carmen!

Your fish video is very cool too. Did you use the same process with that one as you did for the others?

I have another YT channel and put together some collections of some of my artwork awhile back. This one is called 20 Cats.

I rarely duplicate modes/methods, Peggy. Constantly exploring possibilities.

"Arr, arr, ARR!    ;)

Not many people are up for that, Carmen. Good for you! We must keep ourselves entertained, right?

Lisa, that was so authentic, so real, such an awesome experience to watch you paint and speak as you create. I personally loved it!

Carmen,

I want to thank you for getting my futile efforts to my art to move.

Way,way back, you did it for me.

Thanks again

By the way, I'm still not getting much of my stuff to move

Roger,

You're very welcome.Fun looking back at your link to the discussion post.

Night before last my husband was coaching his guitar students via Skype and I smiled hearing his encouraging ways.

Apparently, he and I have that in common   :)

It's all about moving

This was one on my first audio/video synced pieces working with Adobe After Effects -- so much fun.

Although After Effects is a bit of a bear to work with, I'm rather fond of bears.   ;)

Is there a benefit to vimeo?

Right back at you Mario. I love watching you perform and the lovely spooky music choices!!!!

I use both YouTube & Vimeo.

Began using Vimeo several years ago, I like the presentation/format.

YouTube was my 'go to' back in 2012 or so. I created this sequence of my grandmother's life from photos age 3 to 97.

It's a portion of a larger commissioned biopic, Arcana. Exhibit details: https://carmenhathaway.com_Platform

Thank you Lisa, Vimeo is really a great platform to have videos hosted at, NO ADS ever placed on the videos like YTube, I find that a big benefit. :-)

This video was a stroke of pure luck, I had no intentions of capturing vultures being attracted to my my drone in one of my first attempts at going to the maximum allowed heights. I was worried the vultures would attack my drone, they would have easily out flown the drone if they wanted to.

I stopped making videos for a while, I decided to start again. This one is different than my usual video, a vlog style video with a tour of Big Cottonwood Canyon in fall color.

Ok Mario take a little break -- getting a bit spamming now.
