“Dramatic Landscape, Seascape, and Cityscape Photographs” welcomes your -scape photographs that awe: expansive images with dramatic effect that evoke emotional responses such as wonder, hope, despair. The photos may be sublime or tragic, surprising or numinous. They have heights and depths, power, wildness, mystery, the primal. Land- and seascapes may feature sun, wind, fire, clouds, mist, rain, lightning, snow, ice, waves; cityscapes may include lights, skylines, infrastructure (freeways, bridges), and industry (factories/refineries).

Please submit only one new image per day. Include in the Description and Tags (keywords) the dramatic effect/emotional response(s) the photographer feels in the image.

Photos may be color, black and white, or somewhat altered into a photopainting or with special effects (but still recognizable as being from a photo).

Not accepted are photos that are just “pretty,” with people or animals (or structures in land- and seascapes) as the subject(s), macro- or close-up-only images, AI-generated, or have text superimposed or nudity.

Featured Images on the Home page are awarded by the group administrator, and are also Commented and Favorited on the image's page. Once an image has been Featured or Special Featured on the group Home page, it may be posted to the current 2023 Feature Archive Discussion topic, which also serves as the 'thank you' page.

Awards for Artist, Participant, and New Member are announced semi-monthly.

The group avatar, or image or icon, upper left, changes semi-monthly from the image receiving the highest number of Features received during the previous month or winning a group-sponsored Contest.

Contests on Fine Art America are sponsored regularly by the group to promote your dramatic -scape photos and attract new group members.
