Group Name: COASTAL COUNTIES OF SOUTHERN ENGLAND UK (Formerly Devon And Cornwall In The Southwest Of England UK)

1. This group will welcome photos, original paintings and drawings (see below) covering the coastal counties in the South of England.....CORNWALL, DEVON, DORSET, SOMERSET, HAMPSHIRE, SUSSEX AND KENT.

2. All aspects of these seven counties will be covered - see below for ideas.

3. ACCEPTED are your own ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPHS, your own ORIGINAL DRAWINGS, your own ORIGINAL PAINTINGS, but NOT digital art. Drawings and paintings must be based on actual places and must be named in your description. Discrete digital alterations may be acceptable - your host will make the decision on each individual submission of images altered from your-own original photographs, paintings or drawings. NOT ACCEPTED - ANY AI IMAGES or 'LITTLE PLANET' POST PROCESSED IMAGES

4. VERY IMPORTANT: The location of your image must be described in the picture information including which of the seven counties it is in and the name of the village, town or city nearest to your subject except for general views of open spaces such as Dartmoor etc. which need only the name of the county. Your picture may not be accepted without the name of the COUNTY (any one of the seven listed above) and, where necessary, the village, town or city written into either your TITLE or in your DESCRIPTION.

It would also be good if you can find out some factual, geographical or historical points just to add interest for those viewing your pictures.

5. There will be no limit to the number of submissions per day but please do not flood the group all at once.... 4 or 5 per day from each artist would be ideal.

6. FEATURES are awarded weekly and are not automatically given on submission of your picture. Features in this group are earned by merit and are chosen each week by the Administrator. Please acknowledge your feature in the designated group discussion page.

7. CONTESTS in this group are for members only. If you wish to enter a contest please join the group.

8. DISCUSSION PAGES - please use these to keep our group high in the group rankings.

9. Ideas of topics and aspects acceptable to this group:
Open spaces and other landscapes
Coasts, harbours, shipping in LOCAL waters around the South Coast
Rivers
Occupations
Customs
Towns Cities and Villages - people, architecture etc.
Parks and Gardens including private gardens such as your own.
Wildlife and Nature - NO SPIDERS PLEASE
Food pictures ONLY IF SPECIAL TO THIS AREA....for example, Cornish Pasties, Devon Cream Tea.
Flowers - need to be shown in their natural surroundings not as portraits. For example.....bluebells shown in woodland in our area would be accepted (with the location named) but a close up of a bluebell would not as that could have been seen anywhere.
Other items need to be specific to the area. For example, a bicycle leaning on a wall could be anywhere unless beyond that wall is a view pertaining to one of our counties.
