I was 27 when my interest in art enticed me to start to paint. It took another four years to become serious about it, painting after work and on week-ends. I have now been painting professionally for nearly 37 years. I grew up on farms and ranches in the Hill Country and Panhandle of Texas and my subjects reflect my love of western landscapes, Native Americans, and cowboy life. I moved to New Mexico in 1964. Visiting the Four Corners Area in 1972, I was so taken with the beautiful landscapes, the people, and the many life styles that I moved to Bloomfield, NM. I try to combine my passion for my subject and my passion for painting on to canvas, so that the viewer can hopefully share that combined passion and become a part of the...
