A fine piece that could have been so much better. Where's Clint Walker? Where's Robert Mitchum, Kirk Douglas, Sam Elliott, Jack Elam, where's Richard Widmark, Burt Lancaster and Anthony Quinn? I could go on and on, I know space is a factor in how many people can be put in a painting. One way to free up room is to eliminate the likes of Steve Martin, John Travolta, Billy Crystal, all of the "Dukes of Hazzard", Gene Wilder, Cleavon Little, Jerry Reed and for God sake what is Donna Douglas as "Elly Mae Clampett doing in this painting of a western saloon? Tom Laughlin as "Billy Jack"? Johnny Depp as Tonto? I doubt Dustin Hoffman would even recognize himself from "Little Big Man". Like I said, it could have been so much better.

I work in a variety of mediums, watercolor, soapstone, scratchboard and clayboard. My outdoor sketching is often done with watercolor, ideal for thumbnail sketches to capture light, a glint of water, the form of a bird or tree, the thrust of a rock, and the shape of a leaf or the countless flashes of nature. I also enjoy making music videos of my flute recordings, mixed with the wonderful outdoor places we have here on the Oregon Coast.
