"The Golden Valley" is a painting that arose as a daydream of what it might be like to visit an old horse ranch in a majestic golden valley. Almost like a fantasy novel from an author like J.R.R. Tolkien, I dreamed of an old world setting with nostalgic European country architecture, colorful pasture horses, and bubbling pond, where one could imagine walking the fields, lounging in the boat, casting the fishing rod, or simply listening to the mallards as they swim past.
