💕My Series "Trees That Speak To Me" in my "What A Tree-t" Collection💕
Part of the beauty at Saguaro National Park-East Rincon Mountain District, in Tucson, Arizona (USA), are the varieties of trees. I have a special fondness for trees. Choosing to use them as silhouettes, to frame a scenic view, or to just get up close and personal. Admiring their amazing design.
This here is one of those amazing designs, a mesquite tree. I was amazed at its color and curvy design. They just add so much charm, and rugged splendor to the Sonoran Desert landscape. The trunk and limbs tend to twist and turn, looking like a work of art in themselves. Notice the saguaro cactus looming in the background. Probably once its "nurse tree."
Trees can take on a look, that reminds us of things we say and do in our daily lives. Word idioms or expressions are called to mind when I see the rugged "bark" of a tree.

Great textures, Janet!
Janet Marie replied:
Aren't the rugged, gnarly textures great as you said. They top the great abstract attempts with flying colors. All we can do is attempt the reality. Thank you once again for taking the time to comment on my photography. That means a lot!

Yes! That sure IS some bark! I, like yourself. love trees also! Particularly trees that seem to be dead. I say that only because, when a tree dies, it still stands there, for years! And that's when it really develops character. You sure captured the character of this tree. It appears to be dancing, swaying to its own music. Perhaps the music of the night desert. Now I have the song in my head by Michael Bubble...Sway. LOL. L/F

Deborah! I love your comment. A fellow tree lover. You would love the PBS special, “Judi Dench: My Passion For Trees.” It was awesome. Of England is loaded with trees and very old ones. I too thought of this tree swaying. Although trees do sway in the wind. Here in the Sonoran Desert they get so many wonderful, twisting shapes to them. I am glad you like this and have chosen it as one of your favorites. 💕Janet
