A photo from the 2013 Worldwide Photowalk, which in Vancouver took place around Science World and the Olympic Village.

We had mildly overcast skies and a reasonably strong wind to start with, so while I was waiting for it to get dark enough for the city lights to come on, I took this long exposure panorama showing the Yaletown area of downtown Vancouver, the BC Place stadium, and the Science World geodesic dome.

This is a five-shot panorama with each shot being taken at 35mm, ISO 100, f/16 for 80 seconds, using a 10-stop ND filter.

Born in the UK, I moved to Vancouver, BC in 2011. My career in photography has grown from a long-held passion for capturing the beauty of the world, aided on the technical side by my background as a software developer. I specialise in fine art photography of landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes in and around the Pacific Northwest, with work exhibited internationally. Many of my photographs feature the beautiful city of Vancouver, but as well as capturing its iconic cityscapes, I can often be found exploring the BC and Washington coastline for new photographic opportunities, as well as developing my portfolio of night sky photographs featuring the Milky Way and the Aurora Borealis.
