I really love this work. I hesitated to give it a review because I selected to print on metal. I did that with one piece and it was spectacular. The next two, including this one, not so much. This one seems so much brighter than I thought it would be. Quite lovely, but out of place in my more subtle organic home. But duh? I requested it printed on the highly reflective metal. It benefited the ginko image I bought. The third piece came out looking muddy on the metal. I blame myself for not knowing enough to print each work on the medium that would best enhance the work. I decided to write the review in case it helped another buyer think printing and framing a little more carefully.

Artist's Description
Bug light marks the entrance to the harbors of Plymouth, Kingston, Duxbury Massachusetts just North of Cape Cod. Using as little detail as possible, and keeping the painting as translucent as possible, as I tried to convey the feeling of calmness as this small sailing vessel passes the"Bug" as she heads into Plymouth Harbor.

What a fine painting of Duxbury Pier Light or also known as Bug Light. I grew up on the Gurnet which is by Bug Light. Also worked on my Uncle's lobster boat which was moored by Bug Light off of Western Point, Saquish Head. I am on the Board of Project Gurnet & Bug Lights, historian. This is the web site for the two lighthouses. www.buglight.org
