-- Artist Notes --
I arrived at this deserted parking area not far from Page, Arizona while it was still pitch black just before day break. Armed with only a small torch and having no safety fences anywhere it was extremely difficult to navigate to the edge of this gorge without almost falling down the sheer face of the cliffs which are several hundred of feet deep.
When the first light finally arrived I could start to make out the shape and scale of this place. The isolation and serenity was absolutely magical as I was the only one there at this time of morning. I couldn't fit the whole scene in my wide angle lens so I employed another technique that I often use in situations like this and took my time to capture this shot and to make the most of this experience.
I was there for under 2 hours but this place has implanted an everlasting memory in my mind and I'm glad I got to see this natural wonder up close and personal, in such serenity so that I could capture every detail and share this experience with the world..

This version of Horseshoe Bend was captured with more than 20 individual highly detailed images that have been meticulously hand stitched together using the latest in technology. This method creates a much wider angle of view than a traditional camera allowing the whole scene to flourish.
The resolution of the overall image is up to 10 times greater than a single image and at large sizes you will notice the intricate nature of the scene being many times more detailed compared with most images on the market today.
