It was “lost” by fed Ex. Apparently another was sent, but I have not received an update on the status. Disappointed

I own an original painting by Linda Dessaint. I think this large framed canvas print of another of her paintings is of high quality and almost as beautiful. I’m so pleased with the color and the silver floating frame. Our walls are pale gray-blue and they make a perfect background for the print. It was very carefully packaged, too.

Artist's Description
San Pascual's Table
Pascual Bailon (1540-1592) was born, in May of 1540 in Torre Hermosa, Aragon, Spain. In his youth he was a sheep herder and was often seen praying in the pastures. His faith led him to the Franciscan monastery in Loreto. Because he was uneducated, the friars would only accept him to do menial tasks such as cooking. I have depicted him here preparing a traditional New Mexican meal for his Franciscan brothers. He is making Spanish rice and red chile on the stove. On the table he has set out chips, salsa, and guacamole, sopapillas with honey, plates of tacos, burritos, and enchiladas. The saint in the nicho is the founder of his order, St. Francis, who is the saint of animals and the environment. He is normally painted with a kitchen cat. However, this was a commission for...
About Victoria De Almeida

Through my work I always hope to tell a story about my personal experiences as a Hispanic woman. I was born and raised in the beautiful state of New Mexico and my family has been in northern New Mexico for over 10 generations. My work comes from my memories of growing up in a large extended family and my favorite subjects to paint are the people and traditions of northern New Mexico. I have always loved art and have wanted to become an artist for as long as I can remember. My primary medium is acrylic on canvas. I have also enjoyed using acrylic on wood as well. As a self-taught artist, I really fight looking at something when I'm painting or sketching. I love just allowing my work to evolve organically. My preliminary sketches are...
