💕My Series "Trees That Speak To Me" in my "What A Tree-t" Collection💕
Part of the beauty at Saguaro National Park-East Rincon Mountain District, in Tucson, Arizona (USA), are the varieties of trees. I have a special fondness for trees. Choosing to use them as silhouettes, to frame a scenic view, or to just get up close and personal. Admiring their amazing design.
This here is one of those amazing designs, the Mesquite tree. They add so much charm, color, and rugged splendor to the Sonoran Desert landscape. The trunk and limbs tend to twist and turn, looking like a work of art in themselves. Trees can take on a look, that reminds us of things we say and do in our daily lives.
Word idioms or expressions are called to mind when I see the rugged bark of a tree. Seedlings of saguaros, have the best chance of survival when sheltered by "nurse trees" like this mesquite here. They can live over 100 years, and get quite shaggy as they age. Bent over too, as the younger saguaro cactus seems concerned about the encroachment of there space. But the mature saguaro says, "no worries at this point, as it has more bark than bite."

Michael! Aren't you kind. Mesquite trees certainly are gnarly indeed. That is what fascinates me, with its natural abstract design. Many a mesquite tree has been a nurse plant for the saguaro cactus in its most vulnerable state. I visit Saguaro National Park so much, that these trees have become quite familiar to me. They probably think, enough already, Janet. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and I appreciate the fave too.

I love it, Janet. What an awesome representation of the Arizona desert. A favorite,
Janet Marie replied:
Charles! Thank you for stopping by my gallery and sharing your lovely thoughts about my photography. I am glad it's a fave. I really appreciate it! Arizona has al 4 desert regions of the United States. Saguaro National Park is in the best one, the Sonoran Desert (the saguaro cactus is only in that desert region, which has 7 sub-regions; this the Arizona Upland region). Janet💕
